Sweet P The Entertainer is a self-made artist & musician. He’s a music producer, singer, songwriter, rapper, studio engineer and performer. He produces all of his own music, writes all of his songs, does all the vocals & raps as well as the mixing and mastering. His biggest influences came from the early sounds of Bob Marley, George Benson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Luis Miguel and his biggest most influential inspiration the ever so gifted and talented Mr. Michael Jackson. It was around the age of 12 when he began to expand his music palette by listening to and developing a love for light-rock artist’s & bands from the 80’s such as George Michael, Sting, The Police, Toto, Don Henley, Spandau Ballet, Reo Speedwagon, Hall & Oats, Simply Red, Cindy Lauper, Phil Collins and the list goes on and on.
His many influences led him to pursue a career as a recording artist performing in thousands of showcases where he began to craft his artistic abilities. He joined various singing groups in his local area along with his brother who was at the time a hot budding young music producer. After performing in talent shows, nightclubs and parties throughout the city of Atlanta, Sweet P decided that it was music production and behind the scenes that really sparked his interest after watching his older brother “throw down” on some original compositions. “It seemed like he just had mad production skills for his age. My brother was like a genius to me musically and I wanted to produce music like him!” After studying his brother’s production sessions with various singing groups, Sweet P took some keyboard & guitar lessons from him as well as song & vocal arrangements too. He soon found himself producing music for other local artist as well as for the various singing groups he performed with and after working thousands of shows all over his city to create a buzz for his singing groups, he decided to head to college where he’d take up Classical & Jazz Piano along with Acoustic Guitar for the next five years to further his musical abilities.
After years of honing his vocals, live performance, music production, engineering & songwriting skills, he not only produced Hip-Hop for young rappers but also R&B, Pop and Rock music for budding vocalist. “I try not to limit myself and that’s directly due to the many influences I was exposed to growing up. I love all genres of music and have learned to appreciate them.” Now with an experienced history of producing & writing for other artist’s under his belt he’s left that scene behind and is currently establishing himself out in front as an International Pop Artist while producing, writing and engineering his own albums. He says, “I have no limits to what I’ll bring to the world as an Artist and with my music. I love so many types of music; I feel that people will connect with what I’m doing automatically because they’ll already be familiar with the sounds I was influenced by growing up. I’m virtually limitless as far as my music style or genre!” Sweet P The Entertainer has sold over 50,000 records independently, hand-to-hand all over the streets of America within a span of about six years.
Sweet P The Entertainer has established his own independent record label appropriately entitled “Rich Dreams Music” to put his own music out the way he wants to creatively. He does all of his own promotion and marketing online and offline. His “Rich Dreams” has always been music since the day of his conception and to this very day these dreams have become a living reality for him and through his label, website and with the release of his new album entitled “SuperBad”, he plans to reach as many fans as possible! Sweet P confidently states, “Music has so much power to me and I really hope that my music will inspire my fans as well as other budding artist’s to believe in real music & entertainers again.
